Weeds and Borders

Garden borders

The borders in the back garden haven’t been dug over for a few years. This means the weeds are compacting the soil so much so it is impossible to dig over without having a hefty amount of rain first. The rain over the bank holiday weekend and a few other days since obliged, so I’ve made a start on one of the borders. I doubt I’ll have got all the weeds in one go, but at least it’ll be easier to keep on top of the weedy little blighters. On a positive note, I find myself celebrating having a beautiful soil.

What the rest of the borders look like.
Now this border is dug over and has more planting done.
